Hello there, my name is Teele. Welcome to Kuu&Koorik where I hope I can either fill your soul with warm bread and cookies or with words and community.

My roots are here in Estonia, but my entire childhood was in the good ole’ USA. I moved back to Estonia when I was 19 years old to study in University, reconnect with my heritage, and try to learn the language again. Fast-forward and I am in my early 30s and still here. I never imagined I would make Estonia my home again.

I fell in love with baking sourdough some years ago, but more seriously in the last two years. It was one of the most rewarding and magical things to bake from building the starter from scratch, gently stretching the dough, watching it bubble and ferment, and then seeing it burst in the oven like a golden sunrise - it truly made me giddy and excited. From there, I started experimenting with different flavours and expanding to baking chocolate chip cookies that reminded me of home in the US. Cookies that remind me of when I used to come home from school and my mom had a fresh plate of cookies waiting on the table.

Being able to start sharing these with others has brought a level of joy that I cannot express into words.

Aside from baking, I am a lover of stories and connection. I am a not-so-secret fantasy book nerd and adore getting lost in words and worlds. I am passionate about slow living and making life feel as cozy and whimsical as possible.
